Where I'm in a holding pattern (this is not about art)

Things I don't understand:

Why we have a 9 to 5 work day

why humans are hellbent on doing things that are bad for everyone

why sleep exists

why can't I have endless energy

why do cats torture their catch

why do we continue to eat animals

why does it feel so good to drink alcohol

why does it seem so important to have a nice house
