On a whim I decided to go up to Portland to check out some galleries and do some art supply shopping. The weather was amazing and the streets were surprisingly crowded. I managed to get to a few galleries and walked away with a head full of inspiration and creativity. The Augen Gallery, in particular, had some amazing printmaking. I walked away wishing I had access to a printmaking studio.
I spent some time browsing the art supply stores and came away having only spent under $30. Not bad for me and art supply stores. I spent the evening working out some ideas in my sketchbook and I'm ready get back to the artmaking.
